Today was a very gloomy day: it felt like autumn with a cold northerly wind blowing my brains out and then that continuous drizzling rain: brrr. Good weather for Filzzauberschule homework though. Corinna had sent us a tutorial for a lampshade that you can also use as a windlight cover. I opted for the latter. I used Wensleydale tops and silk paper with skeleton leaves that I had made a couple of weeks ago. The top part has only one layer, so that the candlelight shines through. Now we draw the curtains and light the candle so there be light.
De laatste vakantiedag benut voor het maken van het huiswerk van deze week. Corinna had ons de handleiding voor een lamp gestuurd. Deze kun je ook gebruiken als “jasje” voor een windlicht. De laatste optie leek mij de beste. Het was vandaag koud en nat, dus uitermate goed weer om binnen te werken aan een windlicht. Ik heb Wensleydale wol en zijdepapier met ingevilte skeletblaadjes die ik nog had liggen gebruikt. Omdat de bovenkant slechts één laag wol heeft, schijnt het kaarslicht door het vilt. Nu doen we gordijnen dicht, doen de kaars aan en hopen op beter weer.
